Synchron state manager, Chris Regenass, has passed away following complications associated with major heart surgery.

Widely-respected by his Synchron colleagues and the broader financial services community, Regenass was the firm’s state manager for South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory for the last four plus years.

Prior to joining Synchron, Regenass worked for 22 years in various advice network-related roles with both AMP and AXA – spending around eleven years with each insurer – where his last role prior to joining Synchron in 2017 was as head of financial planning for AMPFP, Charter and Hillross.

In paying tribute to his colleague, Synchron Director, Don Trapnell, noted that Regenass took over a small Synchron operation in SA, Tasmania and NT in 2017, but had built the business to the point where it had reached sufficient size to become a licensee firm in its own right.

Many other tributes from Synchron and other industry colleagues have been posted across social media networks for Regenass, who is survived by his wife and two children. He was 57.
