CALI Conference to Tackle Underinsurance

0

Industry leaders, innovators, and change makers will be among those discussing how life insurance can create meaningful change for all Australians at CALI’s inaugural Wild for Life 2025 conference in April.

“About 3.4 million people are underinsured to meet basic needs for income protection,” says Christine Cupitt, CEO, CALI.

“Our research shows only one in three working Australians are aware of the life insurance coverage they have. That’s why we’re looking beyond the horizon to understand the changing needs of all Australians.”

The all-day conference is being held at Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and among the key topics will be how insurers can better support women, Gen Z, Gen Alpha, and those with mental health challenges.

Among those taking part include:

  • Jamila Rizvi, best-selling author, opinion columnist, podcast host, and gender equality advocate
  • Deanne Stewart, CEO of Aware Super and an advocate for gender equality
  • Trish Gregory, a millennial certified financial adviser and ReCALIbrate winner
  • Dr. Rebecca Huntley, a Fellow of the Women’s Leadership Institute of Australia and The Research Society

“Wild for Life 2025 isn’t just another industry event – it’s a call to action,” says Kent Griffin, CEO and MD MLC Life Insurance (Acenda).

“This conference will challenge us to think bigger and act bolder in how life insurance serves Australians.”
