AIA Australia (AIA) has announced it has launched a new initiative that will see its flagship retail product, Priority Protection, integrated onto an investment platform for the first time.
To be known as Platform Investor Protect, AIA says this new capability will see its clients benefit by being able to fund the payment of their individual premiums from their investment account within their platform.
AIA suggested the launch of this product capability will be welcome news for advisers who have indicated to the insurer that they would be keen to gain greater access to life insurance products via platforms.

Damien Mu, AIA’s Chief Distribution & Marketing Officer, said “By providing advisers with the ability to more readily source individual risk products via their preferred investment platform, they will be in a better position to address their clients’ end-to-end protection needs and tackle the very real problem of underinsurance amongst everyday Australians.”
