Melbourne Physical FASEA Exam Deferred

1

The pandemic restrictions in Melbourne have seen FASEA announce that the Melbourne metropolitan physical location exams will not be offered for the August sitting, although advisers have the option to sit remotely.

FASEA states that this follows the re-imposition of Stage 3 stay-at-home restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire and the closure of exam venues.

Advisers who have registered for a Melbourne physical location exam will have the option to either sit the exam remotely or defer to October or a later sitting.

It says that at this stage Geelong, Ballarat, Traralgon and Albury/Wodonga physical exam locations will continue to be offered.

The exam administrator (ACER) will contact candidates registered for August Melbourne metropolitan exam sittings to explain their options and asks that candidates ensure their email addresses are up to date in the registration system.

FASEA says it continues to monitor and will act upon the advice of the Federal and State Governments.

  1. This whole issue is becoming a huge problem when the corona virus is incorporated into the equation
With what is happening now not just in Victoria but NSW and who knows what other states in the future it is inevitable that the time frame will need to be extended at the very least
Advisers are concerned with their Businesses their clients and their own families to be overly rushing to do these ridiculous exams
I hope some common sense comes into play here and lets us do what we do best at this time
