Zurich Launches New Life Insurance Advice Business

Zurich has confirmed that it is “taking the opportunity” to establish an internal advice capability through a new life insurance advice business, following ANZ’s decision to focus its financial advice services on high net-worth customers through ANZ Private.

A statement from Zurich says the new life insurance advice business will be called Zurich Assure and that it will start servicing ANZ’s other customers with existing retail life insurance policies from 29 July 2022.

…providing affordable and professional life insurance advice to existing retail life insurance customers…

It says that Zurich Assure will focus on “…providing affordable and professional life insurance advice to existing retail life insurance customers, including life insurance held in superannuation funds.”

Zurich says it will be able to offer roles “…to some ANZ employees, especially those who express interest in transitioning over to Zurich.” It is currently working through this process with ANZ.

The statement concludes that Zurich  “…remains committed to the independent financial advice market, and retail advice will continue to be provided through these partnerships.”

  1. They’re so committed to “independent financial advice”, they’re launching “Zurich Assure”. Can’t make this stuff up!

  2. The thing that worries me here is they are using corporate dribble-speak, saying nothing, to look like they’re earnestly explaining what they don’t really want us to understand at this point. Does anyone know what they are trying to say?
