New industry service provider, iExtend, says it has been warmly received by the advice industry, keen to understand more about its offer which extends the duration of life insurance policies for eligible policyholders.

Following attendance and presentations at a number of industry events including the Synchron conference, AFA National Roadshow and this week at the AIOFP Conference in Darwin, iExtend CEO David Sarkis says the service provider has been humbled by the interest and attention iExtend is receiving from advisers.

iExtend CEO David Sarkis …proposition gaining traction among advisers

“We are thrilled how Extend has been received by the financial services market and how advisers and licensees are engaging with us about how the offer can fit into their service offering,” said Sarkis. “We want to support advisers, licensees and insurers in their client retention strategies and believe iExtend complements their goals by extending the duration of life insurance policies.”

Launched to the market earlier this year, iExtend offers life policy co-ownership for certain individuals who would otherwise be cancelling their life insurance contracts, usually due to affordability issues, but need to retain their cover as they have experienced changing health conditions. Over the coming months, Sarkis says iExtend will continue to engage with advisers, insurers and regulators as they grow their industry footprint.

“This is an exciting time in the industry’s evolution where questions are being asked and new solutions such as iExtend are being adopted which can assist the industry in not only providing customer value but in industry sustainability,” said Sarkis.

  1. Does anyone else think the imagery used for this article implies a snowballing effect that also provides the mental imagery of the an avalanche that wipes out a small population? How does this snowball end? The basis of the business model implies that a whole lot of people are going to die before profits will be made.

    It’s a slippery slope.
