In life company updates MLC Life Insurance has announced a new addition to its Vivo program, the Aware questionnaire by Osara Health.

The insurer says the two-minute questionnaire is designed to encourage cancer screening and “…empower individuals to take control of their health saving lives one screening at a time.”

It notes that one in two Australians are not meeting recommended cancer screening guidelines, and says MLC Life Insurance is committed to changing this statistic by giving access to the Aware questionnaire.

Andrew Beevors, Chief Claims Officer for MLC Life Insurance, says the insurer is always looking for ways to improve the customer experience and that it’s proud to deliver this extra support, complementing the Vivo program “…and helping bridge the gap between awareness and action when it comes to cancer screening.”

In other company news, MetLife Australia is reconfirmed as an Inclusive Employer by Diversity Council Australia for 2023-2024.

The company says this is the second time it participated in DCA’s inclusive workplace survey in Australia which measures diversity and inclusion experiences for employees.

It adds that to date, MetLife “…is proud to be announced as the only life insurer to be certified.”

MetLife achieved the Inclusive Employer status by scoring higher than the National Index Benchmark on all measures which include awareness, engagement, inclusive organisational climate and inclusive leadership.

Richard Nunn, MetLife Australia CEO, says the company is focused on continuing its progress on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and pleased that “…this important work has been recognised again by DCA with our Inclusive Employer status.”
